A Child's Prayer

I want a home

She has she

and he has he

But I have none,

none, but me.

I want a home

for my own.

And a family,

just for me.

But, alas,

I've been pushed and torn.

I've gone from home to home,

But, I guess I don't belong.

I call to my Maker,

I call to His name.

But, He doesn't answer,

So, I don't belong.

I grope one last time,

reaching for a hand.

If no one comes, then

I'll fall to no end.

Maybe a hand will shoot out

from the dark gray fog,

A hand might link onto my hand

And guide me to a distant land.

He is There

Stuck in a house

with so many faces

so much commotion

and few quiet places

Pushed, poked

torn apart

quiet longing

for something more

Prayers sent, pleading to heaven

but there seems an iron curtain

Heavy, imposing, a mental block

leaving you lonely and lost

Patience, Patience

Peace, my child

wait on His timing

and Father will answer

You grope almost blindly

searching for help

reach just a little more

grasp the iron rod

I know life is hard

and it sucks to feel lonely

but trust me when I say

He always is watching

He loves you, you're precious

worth more than you know

You've got a fire, His light,

Burning deep in your soul

Trust Him, don't waver

Remember your purpose

I love you, He loves you

You're precious and worth it

You Have a Home

You have a home.

Just look and see.

Remember the love

and the light and the joy.

Stop looking beyond

all God has given you.

The books you read

have distorted your view.

They weave lives

not lived in reality.

What God offers

is worth more than gold.

But the world is enticing

and we may lose our way.

Jesus is mindful.

He wants to help.

But when you turn away,

there's not much He can do.

Trust in the plan.

The plan of salvation.

He wants to bring you home

but it requires your effort.

Be faithful, diligent, 

honest, and kind.

Jesus is your partner

so stay focused on Him.

The blessings of God

are eternal and glorious.

They are worth the struggle,

but they may be hard to see.

They aren't shiny, or earthly.

They require time and patience.

He will be with you

As you choose to follow Him.

Please don't let Satan

pull you into dark places.

You have a light to shine

if you'll only believe in yourself.

I love you 

so very much.

I'm sorry I struggle

to show it so you can feel it.

Be determined

as you continue to try

to follow your heart,

not the devils deceptions.

We are here for you.

Stop looking for others.

We want to be with you.

Join us on our journey.

An eagle perched in her tree,

her golden eyes surveying the land,
her home had grown to be,
an empty place, dull and bland.

Behind her lay the glittering sea,
with a world, no one knew yet.
Soon she would travel to see,
what lay beyond the sunset.

The eagle flew into the sky,
above the world where she was free.
Behind her did her problems lie,
and her small family.

She flew away to a heavenly home,
although she missed her family.
What she would find, wasn’t yet known,
past the deep blue sea.

She might have looked back to see,
the family she called her own.
She flew away so she could be free,
from the pain of the body she had known.

She reached a place with her other family
Who before she had missed quite dearly
She now will wait quite patiently
For her earthly family

Soon we all will be together,
the wait won't be long.
Because families are forever,
We will be together if we are strong.

You are a daughter of Zion

You are a child of God
You are a woman of righteousness
and have fulfilled your promise to God.

You have lived your mortal life
you have married and have children
they have brought joy and strife
but their love isn't hidden.

We all love you
this is true
we won't be blue,
but happy for you!

Never Alone

I seem to find myself alone
In dark and dreadful days.
I am never alone, this I have known,
That God is my sunshine rays.

God is always with me;
I know this to be true.
I now will try to be,
Oh Father, just like you.

Oh Father, send the Holy Ghost
To tell me how to be.
Oh Father, please stay close,
So I can be like Thee.

She just kept adding and coming up with more stanzas.

The next three were added the first part of 2016.

The second to last stanza was added for our neighbor, Bill, in Dec. 2016.

With friends and family near

To God I will ever plea

For parents that always hear

Like God I’ll always be

At times I try to fly alone

Until I start to fall.

I’ll never make it to His throne

Until I start to call.

At times I feel discouraged

And think I cannot be

A person who has courage.

Oh, Father, please help me

Because I know He cares

Christ will heal you.

His love can reach you anywhere

As long as you be true.

Oh, Father, of us all,
Help me to stand tall.
Oh, Father, up above,
Please help me feel Thy love.

My Baptism Day

Today is my baptism day.
I can't help but shout "Hooray!"
I feel so pure and clean.
I know that Satan's mean.
